Characters (Who is who, who are they portraying, and WHY I chose them [with reference to crossovered character]):

Hakurei Reimu (modified outfit of Ragna the Bloodedge) - [link]
Reason: Ragna is considered as a character who's willing to stand up against the mass to get what he wants, but at the same time, is someone that will fight for a better cause, even if it means looking like the bad guy. In this sense, Reimu is also the kind of person who's willing to stand up against the populace to achieve a sense of justification despite others' views of morality.


Youmu Konpaku (modified outfit of Jin Kisaragi) - [link]
Reason: Jin Kisaragi is a character that's personified as an ice-cold killing machine, where he (literally) freezes people to death with his sword, Yukianesa; following only one path. As a swordswoman, Youmu knows that role all too well, and is willing to follow the harsh path for one purpose, despite lacking some awareness of her surrounding. While many people depict Cirno as Jin (literally for her freezing abilities), no one deals a better ice-cold persona than Youmu.


Alice Margatroid (modified outfit of Noel Vermillion) - [link]
Reason: Noel is considered to be someone who tries to stand up for herself, but in the end, can't really hold a true front. As such, Noel always relies on her guns, Bolverk, for if without them, she feels like she will serve no more purpose. At one point in the game, she was considered to be the key to the world's fate, because she has the "Azure Grimoire", where she was thought as a human, but is actually no more than a puppet that will be used to bring life to an end.

Originally, Alice was used just because her theme is literally "Grimoire of Alice", but by continuing to playing with this concept, I took the idea of Alice's persona (based off of fan depictions of her being a tsundere), and tried to take an extra step by indicating that (through assumption) Alice tries to hold off her own with fighting dolls, only as a means to cover up her own lack of ability of being able to take care of herself, hence, why she's never truly seen fighting through her own merit. Moreover, I also took into consideration that Alice might have also been once a human being turned into a Youkai (as depicted by fans in Mystic Square), just like how Noel was once seen as a human, now categorized as something destructive. Moreover, seeing as to how she controls nothing but dolls...sometimes it makes one wonder, "Who's really in control?"


Yakumo Family (Yukari/Ran/Chen) (modified outfits of Rachel and her subordinates: Nago & Gii) - [link]
Reason: Rachel Alucard is a vampire who has lived years in the world of Blazblue, doing nothing but watching. Despite how bad things may seem, she will do nothing but 'observe'. At some points, she tries to take matters into her own hands, but in the end, the fate still lies to those that exist surround her; and as such, continue to observe, despite having the knowledge of what it takes to stop opposers. Along with that, she is always accompanied by two of her subordinates, Nago (the umbrella) and Gii (a winged-bat creature).

Yukari is a perfect role in this sense. Yukari (despite being one of the [if not, THE ONLY] strongest characters in Gensokyo, understands her place; as such, merely watches over rather than taking matter into her own hands; holding back what she is truly capable of. Ran and Chen, being Yukari's Shikigami, also fit into these categories. People may argue with my idea of having chosen Yukari instead of Remilia (since they're both vampires), but in this sense, their motives would not correlate with one another.


Yuuka Kazami (modified outfit of Hazama) - [link]
Reason: Hazama is one of the antagonists in the story, always fighting against Ragna the Bloodedge. Hazama is always portrayed as a snake not just because of the weapons he wields (butterfly knives to Ouroboros chains), but because of his persona. He LOVES rattling people's cages, and even pits friends against each other by promising them something that is obviously a lie (as proven with his interaction with characters like Tsubaki and Litchi). And when he's caught, he's a tough man to push down. At one point, only Rachel was the only one capable of standing her ground against Hazama, and eventually, Ragna took the plate in being able to stop Hazama.

Yuuka is another character that's perfect for such a role. She is known to be a liar in many cases (as proven in the story: PoFV). Yuuka herself also is quite formidable against the player, with Yuuka being able to use her sunflowers as extensions of her attacks, much similar to that of Hazama's Ouroboros attacks.

Special thanks to for letting me know about the contest.

I had second thoughts about doing this because I was worried about my ability, but I figured I might as well just do it for fun in the long run.

In the end, I'm happy with the result, and regardless of the outcome, I'm just proud to have gotten this done in time.

Now if you don't mind....I'm going to take a nap real quick.... *didn't go to sleep last night due to drawing this the entire night*
